(60,000 s.f. new construction, 30,000 s.f. alteration) Mortara Corporation, a leading manufacturer of medical equipment located on Milwaukee’s Northwest side retained a design/build team consisting of the DeMichele Company, Catalyst Construction and the Consortium ae LLC to design and construct a 60,000 s.f. assembly-warehouse facility across the street from their existing corporate office location. The building was designed using highly green and sustainable design concepts including pervious paving, a geo-thermal well field HVAC system and daylighting concepts. After the facility was completed, the same team took a portion of the recently vacated garden level space in the corporate building to develop an in-house corporate wellness area consisting of cardio & strength training areas, yoga and aerobic workout spaces, multi-use sports court and new locker room facilities.
