Beerline B Apartments, Milwaukee, Wisconsin: (with Zimmerman Architectural Studios): A three-building, partially subsidized urban infill housing project along the Milwaukee Riverwalk. Sitting on the last (and most difficult parcel) for development in Milwaukee’s popular Beerline neighbourhood, the site was a brownfield that included two large storm sewer easements--one of which ran through the middle of the site. The buildings were nearly 100% leased upon opening and remains one of Milwaukee’s most successful partially subsidized housing projects. The project received a Mayor’s Urban Design Award.
